Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Technical Support Specialist in Akron, Ohio. This role primarily involves providing hardware support for various equipment and training end users on IT applications and systems. The position is within the IT industry and requires a strong understanding of Windows 10/11. Responsibilities: • Provide hardware support for printers, PCs, laptops, servers, and some audio/visual equipment • Train end users on the utilization of IT applications and systems • Troubleshoot issues with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office • Handle network troubleshooting tasks effectively • Maintain excellent documentation of all technical support activities • Utilize skills in Active Directory/Group Policy for system configuration management • Leverage knowledge of Citrix Technologies, Database, EO/IR systems, Lotus Notes, and Microsoft for efficient problem resolution • Support deskside functions and manage desktop hardware effectively • Capitalize on any technical certifications (such as A+, Net+, Security+, Microsoft, Apple) to enhance technical support delivery • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with users and team members. Requirements • Must possess knowledge and experience working with Citrix Technologies • Familiarity with Database management and operations • Experience with EO/IR systems is essential • Proficiency in Lotus Notes • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other Microsoft technologies • Understanding and experience with Active Directory • Ability to troubleshoot and repair Computer Hardware • Experience with Configuration Management • Must have prior experience in Deskside Support • Knowledge and experience in Desktop Hardware is required.
