Duties and Responsibilities:

Help build and grow districts and teams in fire capabilities Work on large complex projects  Develop uniform best practices as related to fire design and install Help develop training plans and provide input Solutions provider for complex projects. Serve as Everon fire alarm technical expert for training to technicians Serve as a subject matter expert of our primary fire alarm brands, interacting internally as well as with our vendor partners  Work collaboratively with the NFLST’s Director of Industry Affairs, Training and Support as part of a team to develop the best technical training in the life safety industry Develop training content for fire alarm systems including but not limited to topics such as programming; networking; all of Edward’s fire alarm products; fiber optic cable installation and testing; smoke control; high-rise applications; campus applications; hardware troubleshooting; diagnostic tools and more Deliver training in-person to groups of technicians, live via webinars and in the field providing on the job training Pursue certification as a Train the Trainer through Edwards to allow others to provide training Serve as a mentor for our technical team members Assist districts that have been identified as technical focus districts to increase the capability and capacity of the technicians Participate as a member of a task group to evaluate our inspection software tools and methods Interface with the Director of Industry Affairs, Training & Support to develop training programs needed for the T&I, PMA and Monitoring aspect of our business (i.e.: classroom training, webinars, You Tube video clips, etc.) Develop training for service techs and inspection techs for competitive brands of fire alarm systems Serve as a resource for service managers throughout Everon Create and lead a formalized technician think tank group to evaluate and implement best practices, deal with product challenges, develop innovative solutions, develop programming standards, etc. Work with others as part of a task group to identify current, available and potential inspection tools for testing smoke detectors, heat detectors, CO detectors, multi-criteria detectors, batteries, duct smoke detectors / differential pressure, dB sound pressure levels, intelligibility.  Determine the standard devices utilized by Everon testing technicians.  Negotiate pricing with the vendors Serve as a technical resource related to Everon fire monitoring business Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Level IV NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems  NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist  Edwards factory trained and certified on all of their products Willingness to obtain factory training and certification on other core fire alarm product lines Travel required Ability to leverage technology to host webinars for training purposes and sales support
