19.50 per hour | 9350 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS, United States | Hourly | Administration - (Clerical) | Full Time TITLE: Technical Support Specialist ASSIGNED TO: Administration REPORTS TO: Systems Administrator POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Systems Administrator, the Technical Support Specialist provides basic installation service for clients, responds and resolves basic client inquiries, configures and manages related systems software and applications, and engages in the day-to-day technical assistance, support and training of end users. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Troubleshoot system and network problems, including diagnosing and resolving technical hardware and software issues involving internet connectivity, Immix, YourSix and more. + Place service and support calls with vendors and coordinate repairs as needed. + Internal and external client support ticket response in person and via phone and email + Build, adjust and remove client accounts in Immix + Provide installation and ongoing service for monitoring equipment on client premises + Replace hardware parts as required. + Train necessary end-users on new hardware and software products. + Monitor and organize equipment inventory + Provide timely, effective support, and technical assistance to end users. + Install and service client security systems. + Client related data entry. + Service as backup for dispatch as needed. + Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Systems Administrator. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Broad and working knowledge of technical expertise required. Technical expertise is demonstrated through problem solving, applying technical knowledge, and product and service management. + Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, clients and the public, ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures, ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance, ability to write and investigate required reports; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures. + Must be able to use tools and equipment required. + Excellent moral character and clean background free from excessive misdemeanors, traffic offenses, or any felonies, as well as positive record with creditors and prior employers. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed inside with exposure to inside environmental conditions. This job requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, grasping, walking, running, carrying and climbing. Requires infrequent lifting or carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.
