Job Description
We are seeking 2-3 EPA Certified Technical Support Technicians for an in-house position. The technicians will provide technical troubleshooting for Scotsman Ice Machines over the phone to technicians working in the field.
ResponsibilitiesProvide technical troubleshooting assistance for Scotsman Ice Machines over the phone.Review and process product warranty claims.Function as a field service representative when required (minimal field work).Document service calls, part numbers, and warranty claims using computer skills.Work standard hours starting at 7am, 7:30am, or 8am for a 9-hour shift with a 1-hour lunch break.Participate in an on-call schedule every 6 weeks, providing additional support during this period.Essential SkillsEPA Refrigerant Usage Certification Type 1 & Type 2.1-5+ years of troubleshooting and repair experience with commercial refrigeration products, food service refrigeration products, ice machines, air conditioners, and chillers.Strong communication and technical support skills.Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.Proficiency in computer skills for documentation purposes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience reviewing and processing product warranty claims.Work Environment
This position is in-house at a facility that manufactures ice machine dispensers for both commercial and residential use. The standard start time is between 7am to 8am, with a 9-hour workday including a 1-hour lunch break. An on-call schedule is required every 6 weeks, with additional compensation during the on-call week. Technicians will work in an office setting, providing phone support to field technicians who are not product experts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
