OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for leading DD&T technical related activities required for the design, construction and startup of a new Plasma Derived Therapies (PDT) manufacturing facility in Osaka, Japan. Key objectives include:
Technical Lead and Support of DD&T Projects for a new plasma plant at Osaka.
Actively participates in the deployment of lab, quality and manufacturing systems by collaborating with global team and cross-functional site teams.
Responsible for technical integration and operation of System Interfaces within quality and manufacturing environment such as LIMS/MES, SCADA, CDS and big data platform.
Support Takeda’s digitalization strategy by further identifying, planning and coordinating improvement potentials to further gathering, processing and utilizing data from the lab and manufacturing environment
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Close collaboration with site business owners, sponsors, project managers, global DD&T, QC lab teams and automation teams to understand, support and improve business processes by technical and digital system
Understands the business needs and its strategy/initiatives, and translates them into technical requirement .
Support development and documentation of architecture of new digital products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
Identifies areas for improvement within the system to enhance performance and efficiency
Implements changes and optimizations to improve system functionality and user experience
Monitors system performance and makes adjustments as needed
Oversees the day-to-day operations of specific technical systems
Ensures that systems are running smoothly, efficiently, and reliably
Performs regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades to keep systems current and secure
Assurance and continuous alignment of a good and sustainable DD&T service level
Assurance and continuous alignment of a secure infrastructure, system and application life cycle management in the lab/manufacturing environment
Ensure the adherence to GxP, global Takeda and site regulations
Coordination of external parties involved
Provide training for operation support and key users

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Required:
Education (minimum/desirable): Masters’ degree in Engineering, Automation, Information Technology or related Engineering/Technical field
More than seven (7) years of experience in IT career
More than five (5) years of experience in the management and execution of IT projects as a project manager or an IT sub team lead
Basic IT infrastructure and application knowledge (Ex: Server: Windows/Linux/Server hardware, Network: Wired/Wireless/firewall, Cloud: AWS services, Application: DNS/Web/Mail/Client-Server model) Strong experience in the management and execution of technical projects
Ability to quickly learn software functionality, pharmaceutical production processes and related configuration processes
Strong communication skills and ability to write/read in English and Japanese
Ability to collaborate with matrix and cross functional team from different business departments
Ability to prepare and provide project plans, presentations and templates for decision making
Excellent business acumen with problem solving and analytical skills
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation
Preferred:
Good Lab quality process /system experience (LIMS and CDS: Chromatography Data System) and / or manufacturing one (MES and automation)
Sound knowledge on business & lab/manufacturing processes in life science industry
Know-how in Computer System Validation (CSV), data integrity and cyber security
