Position Overview: 

The successful candidate for the Technical Training Coordinator position will possess the necessary skills and experience to deliver highly technical high-voltage battery and high-voltage safety training. This role involves developing and delivering training programs for both internal staff and external customers, focusing on enhancing their understanding and skills in handling high-voltage systems safely and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical training, curriculum development, and a deep understanding of high-voltage battery technology. 

About the Role – You will: 

Curriculum and Content Development:  Design, develop, and maintain up-to-date training curriculums and materials focused on high-voltage batteries and high-voltage safety.  Ensure that training content is comprehensive, technically accurate, and tailored to meet the needs of various audiences, including service technicians, engineers, and safety personnel.  Work collaboratively with engineering teams to develop new courses for upcoming product releases.  Intake customer training content feedback and apply to course material where appropriate.  Training Delivery:  Conduct engaging and informative training sessions, workshops, and seminars for both internal staff and external customers.  Deliver training at customer sites, accommodating different learning styles and technical backgrounds.  Deliver on-site training to customers at their request-which may include international travel.  Skill Assessments:  Develop and implement effective assessment tools to measure trainee skills, knowledge, and performance.  Use assessment results to refine training programs and identify areas where additional training may be needed.  Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to develop, implement, and revise skill assessments based on technical aptitude required for the course.  Training Management:  Manage the scheduling of training sessions, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with participants' availability.  Coordinate with other departments and external entities to ensure smooth execution of training events.  Travel and Logistics Coordination:  Arrange all aspects of travel for training purposes, including transportation, accommodations, and materials required for training at different sites.  Manage logistics for on-site training sessions, ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are available and in good condition.  Continuous Improvement:  Stay updated with the latest developments in high-voltage technology and adult education strategies to continuously improve training effectiveness.  Solicit feedback from trainees and trainers to identify opportunities for improvement in training methods and materials. 

Your Experience Includes: 

Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical training, preferably with a focus on high-voltage systems or battery technology.  Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, understandable terms.  Proven ability to develop and manage technical curriculums and training materials.  Experience in conducting hands-on training sessions and workshops.  Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites and other training locations.  Excellent organizational and time management skills.  Physical Demands   May work various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations.  Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.  Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces.  Good eye/hand coordination and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items.  Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.  Environmental Demands   Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions.  Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment.  Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
