AMAG, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Technical Trainer. The Technical Trainer develops and delivers training programs to ensure our customers and internal teams can efficiently use our software and related tools. The Technical Trainer will conduct onsite and web-based training for new and existing customers. The Trainer develops and delivers interactive, hands-on training sessions tailored to various user roles. This position may require up to 25% travel. The Technical Trainer role requires the employee to have a home office with high-speed internet. Occasional travel is required to customer locations. Due to the training audience working across multiple time zones, the Trainer must provide availability from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm Eastern time. The Technical Trainer is expected to develop and maintain expertise in one area of AMAG’s product lines, and are familiar with, but not necessarily, expert in others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide training on products to internal teams or smaller groups of customers in the field using hands-on methodologies. Internal groups include sales, product support, and international salesDevelop and execute internal training programs to onboard and upskill employeesTrain internal teams on new software features, updates, and industry best practicesCreate training materials for internal training and work closely with instructional design manager and other instructors when creating training materialsCreate technical documents for training purposes, course handouts and create equipment evaluationsCoordinate and schedule training for internal and external customer groupsProvide refresher courses and ongoing development sessions for employeesEnsure employees have a deep understanding of the product to effectively support customersDevelop learning paths for internal and external audiences as new equipment is introduced to the Security MarketAssist customers in understanding best practices and maximizing the software’s capabilitiesMaintain and update customer training materials, including user guides, FAQs, and video tutorialsGather feedback to continuously improve training content and delivery

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

Must possess one of the following:Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or other private security or law enforcement related fieldAssociate’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or other private security or law enforcement related field with a minimum of three (3) years of classroom training experienceHigh school diploma with a minimum of five (5) years of classroom training experienceMinimum of three (3) years of technical experience, including Access Control in technical support capacityMinimum of four (4) years of experience or product knowledge in security productsExtensive experience presenting technical informationExtensive use and familiarity of video and audio software such as Camtasia or Adobe Captivate or certification in these coursesDemonstrated the ability to communicate effectively to small groups

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Bachelor's degree in computing, networking, or software creationCertification in security, safety, or trainingPrior experience in teaching in the fire service, security industry, law enforcement and/or military
