Technical Training Manager (Remote) POSITION SUMMARY: The Technical Manager will lead, develop, implement, and maintain a training course designed to promote growth and resolve complex technical issues experienced by technicians and customers in the field as well as remotely. Working with the associated factories, the manager will also provide feedback and work with regional managers to determine technical requirements and skill level progression. The Technical Manager will report directly to the Customer Service manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Below are a list of responsibilities that the Technical Manager will be taking on, the duties are split between a technical trainer and a higher technical support element to the SSO.The Technical Manager will support the SSO with complex troubleshooting, and less complex issues to ensure he is aware of the SSO’s training needs and to stay up to date with the evolution of the TLD products. + Technical Support responsibilities 50% + High-level troubleshooting support on complex issues in the field + Remote troubleshooting and product repair guidance when training duties are not in demandwith customers and TLD technicians. + Advanced troubleshooting and guidance for junior technicians. + Perform trainingand conductrepairs and adjustments of various components and operating systems on the ALVEST product line, equipment, or related parts + Provide guidanceand conductrepairs and overhauls of components, such as electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. + Technical Training responsibilities 50% + Lead customer training classes + Create training videos on TLD products when assigned + Creating training PowerPoint on products when assigned + Develop training Assessments to evaluate the training curriculum’s effectiveness + Maintain a database of curriculum materials on Alvest DMS + Maintain customer training records, and provide training certificates + Conduct on-the-job training with new area service technicians and assess the Customer Service Manager’s areas of improvement for developing technicians. + Factory training curriculum support and development + Performs other duties as assigned OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: + Consult with the Tech on Call as needed for product support + Organize and oversee in-house training sessions + Provide opportunities for training programs + Create training quotes and create and develop training contracts + Share training materials and videos at the TLD group level for Alvest + Collaborate with department managers regarding instruction and training planning + Developing and updating internal documents for training and documenting purposes + housekeeping duties, including cleaning work area, toolboxes, and company vehicle(s) QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential Duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable Individuals with disabilities perform essential functions. + seven years of related experience and broad knowledge of TLD's product line and the operation of machines, equipment, and tools that will be used for the satisfactory performance of duties. + Proven experience as a trainer + Ability to use, read, and interpret drawings and measuring tools proficiently. + Ability to read and understand Electrical Schematics and Hydraulic Schematics. + Qualified to guide and troubleshoot customer issues remotely + Strong knowledge of PLC and Can-bus systems + EPA 609 and 608 universal refrigerant certification + Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in-classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc.) + Working knowledge of advanced troubleshooting techniques on pneumatic, hydraulic, Air Conditioning, heating, electrical, mechanical, gas, and Diesel Engine applications + Ability to train junior technicians and customers to understand Electrical Schematics and Hydraulic Schematics. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint + Travel requirements are 50 to 75% TLD provides equal employment opportunity to all individuals regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by state, federal, or local law.
