The Technical Training Specialist - Electrical Systems Instructor will be at the forefront of our training initiatives, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive training programs for both internal and external customers. Our team focuses on providing in-depth training for our Low Voltage Switchgear and Switchboard systems, including automation and communication system software and systems. Key to the success of this role will be the ability to translate complex technical information into accessible and engaging training sessions that empower our customers and internal teams. The Technical Trainer will act as a bridge between internal and external customers, ensuring they are proficient in our products and solutions.

You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, and online resources. Conduct training sessions for internal staff, customers, and partners on Low Voltage Systems, EPMS, and Automation Systems. Assess training needs and customize programs to meet the specific requirements of different audiences. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure training content is current and relevant. Provide hands-on training and demonstrations to enhance practical understanding. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and assessments and make necessary improvements. Collaborate with product development teams to understand new features and incorporate them into training materials. Support the certification program for trainees to ensure they meet the required competency levels. Collaborate closely with construction and industrial sales teams, business development organizations, and other businesses within Siemens to promote training capabilities and identify additional training opportunities Demonstrate detailed knowledge of low and medium voltage power distribution equipment. Develop and sustain a comprehensive certification program for all provided courses.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field or equivalent years (5 plus years) of experience and/or education in low voltage and/or medium voltage power distribution systems, equipment, and devices or similar. 3 plus years of Electrical Infrastructure experience with panelboards, switchboards, switchgear, breakers, and additional system components. Knowledge of industrial standards for low voltage and medium voltage power distribution systems. Interpretation and understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components. Proven experience in technical training or a similar role. Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences. Proficiency in using training software and tools. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to travel 20-30%Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong organizational and time management abilities. Experience with field services or retrofit of equipment and devices on low voltage or medium voltage power distribution systems. Ability to learn and understand EPMS systems and new or existing communication protocols. Experience with basic networking and communication. Experience with automation design, configuration, and validation for power distribution systems Experience interpreting complex mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, and design specifications. Certified in technical training or instructional design.

The pay range for this position is $87,900 - $150,600. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
