Insitu has an immediate need for a Technical Writer for a remote capable contract. This role will be responsible for creating, updating, and managing complex technical content that supports our engineering, manufacturing, and product management teams. This role will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure that all documentation meets the highest standards of clarity, accuracy, and usability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation operations handbooks, maintenance handbooks and IPC's in alignment with industry standards.Develop, update, and maintain operations advisories, service advisories and service bulletins. Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, and interpret technical information.Ensure content accuracy and consistency in a rapidly changing technical environment.Utilize ArborText and PTC Windchill to manage and organize documentation within a content management system.Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation suitable for a range of end-users.Follow established style guides and templates while maintaining a focus on readability and usability.Perform peer reviews and quality assurance on content produced by other writers or team members.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the aerospace, engineering, or a similarly complex industry.Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, and well-organized technical documentation.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple documentation projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and independently when needed.Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in ArborText and PTC Windchill.Proficiency in AsciiDoc.Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and terminology.Knowledge of content management systems, structured authoring, and technical illustration is a plus.Equal Opportunity Employer:
