Our work depends on a Technical Writer joining our team to support Indian Health Service's Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) program activities.
At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Technical Writer supporting the EHRM program, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing project deliverables such as technical documents, policies, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) specifically in the areas of 508 compliancy.
HOW A TECHNICAL WRITER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Working on all phases of documentation; assisting in the preparation of documents and supports the development of contract deliverables and reportsReview and edit deliverable content for Section 508 accessibility complianceStay up to date on Section 508 standards and best practicesEditing functional descriptions, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables or document, conducting research and ensuring the use of proper technical terminologyReviews and edits project deliverables such as technical documents, policies, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides, manuals and technical publicationsPreparing reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audiencesWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years' experience in a related technical or clinical discipline (or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience)Experience with 508 technical writingExperience editing material for punctuation, grammar, and content Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and VisioKnowledge of Federal documentation standards, processes, and 508 compliancyMust be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearanceAbility to travel up to 25% of the year, if neededDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
