The qualified candidate will be responsible for writing requirements, process, and technical documentation. Must have a technical background with excellent customer liaison and oral and written communication expertise. Candidate must be able demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment and be able to focus on a task(s) and follow a precise process to the conclusion. Candidate must be self-auditing and have high quality standards. Must have knowledge of Software Quality Assurance practices and the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. Candidate will work primarily on the government site taking day-to-day technical direction from the customer.
 
Skills Requirements:


Required Skills (in priority order)

-Ability to review and assess existing program processes and procedures to ensure that they are set up to deliver consistent, accurate and reliable outputs, as well as defining steps to quickly improve processes that are in need of refinement.

-Ability to develop and review user documentation for accuracy, completeness and consistency.

-Ability to produce monthly reports on status and progress of current problem tickets and ad-hoc assignments.

-Ability to develop and review requirements documents and design specifications for completeness, consistency, and clarity

-Ability to maintain the integrity of working documents and update documentation when revised.

-Ability to perform audits of software development and project management processes using standard process descriptions and requirements. Identify issues in process compliance and collaborate with other teams to resolve issues.

-Knowledge of SQL Server, VB.NET framework and ASP.NET - Web Development Focus.

-Awareness of industry best practices related to web design and data base management.

-Knowledge of government contracting.

-Experience working at SSA. 



Addl. Info-  Minimum experience and education: Candidates with a BS degree must have the minimum of  11 years or 132 months of work experience specific to the job description.  

 

If a candidate has a  Master’s degree, they still need a minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience but only nine years or 108months of experience specific to the job.  The other work experience to meet the 132 months does not have to be IT related.

Work experience while in college can be counted toward the overall years.

 

If no degree, work experience may be substituted.

Background clearance: All candidates selected will have to go through a Federal government background check prior to being able to start.  Generally, the background process takes between 3,4 or 5 weeks. The time is dependent on how quickly the candidate is able to complete the paperwork.

Candidates will obtain a Public Trust clearance upon approval.
