Job Description
Discover Impactful Work: You will be working in manufacturing, partnering with engineering and quality management to document and implement work instruction updates. These changes will address safety-related issues, red lines generated from production, engineering changes, part number changes, etc. Be a part of a team committed to process improvement, quality control, and ensuring our products and processes are repeatable.
ResponsibilitiesAttend daily stand-up meetings with production to align with priority focus or changes.Work directly with a production employee to capture process improvements/changes for documentation.Work independently to close on pending work instructions for engineering review.Meet weekly with production engineering to review status and confirm engineering priorities.Submit all changes to engineering in a designated time for review.Conduct a monthly cross-functional status meeting to discuss progress and strategic goals.Essential SkillsTechnical writingDocument controlQuality assuranceProcess improvementExperience in the laboratory, medical device, and high-tech industriesQuality control analysisDocument reviewUnderstanding of GMP and audit requirementsAdditional Skills & QualificationsMinimum 2-year degree in a technical writing or communications fieldExperience in lieu of a degreeWorking experience in technical writing of procedural documentationExperience in procedural creation and updates in the biotech industry preferred (will consider high tech)Ability to review user documentation for production or serviceAbility to lift up to 35 lbsWork Environment
This position is located in Hillsboro, OR. The work environment involves collaboration with engineering and quality management teams, focusing on process improvement and quality control. The role may involve handling and lifting materials up to 35 lbs.
