GovCIO is currently hiring for a Technical Writer/Administrator to provide operations and technical support for a multi-vendor IT Infrastructure program. This position will be located in Tampa, FL and will be an onsite position with flexible remote opportunity.
ResponsibilitiesThe Technical Writer / Administrator role combines technical documentation expertise with hands-on experience in ServiceNow’s CONNECT platform to support seamless team collaboration and efficient project management. This position is responsible for creating, editing, and organizing technical documents—including manuals, specifications, and user guides—ensuring clear and effective communication for diverse audiences. By leveraging ServiceNow CONNECT, the role supports real-time collaboration, document version control, and task management, enhancing both team workflows and administrative operations. Additional responsibilities include preparing visual aids, developing cataloging systems, managing records and archiving, and supporting seminars and presentations. This position requires strong research and organizational skills to transform complex technical data into user-friendly materials while providing essential administrative support to keep day-to-day office functions running smoothly.
Develop, write, edit, and proofread a variety of technical documents, translating complex data into user-friendly content for diverse audiences across print and digital platforms.Utilize ServiceNow CONNECT to manage project tasks, document updates, team communication, and maintain version control for seamless collaboration and workflow efficiency.Gather technical information through interviews, observations, and research, supporting detailed and accurate documentation.Conduct quality reviews of materials to ensure clarity, consistency, accuracy, and adherence to documentation standards.Oversee and select visual aids such as diagrams and charts to enhance comprehension of technical information.Develop and maintain cataloging systems using ServiceNow CONNECT for efficient document organization and accessibility.Assist in preparing technical materials and presentations for seminars, forums, and client meetings, tailoring them to audience needs.Manage daily office operations, coordinating tasks and supplies through ServiceNow CONNECT to support efficient workflow.Collaborate with technical and business teams, contributing to presentations and aligning documentation with business objectives QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience:
Relevant BS Degree +5 years of prior relevant experience.Active Secret ClearanceMust have a valid US Passport or the ability to obtain a US Passport within 6 months from the start date.Proficiency in technical writing software and project management tools (MS Project, Jira, etc.).Hands-on experience with the ServiceNow CONNECT platform for team collaboration and project management.Excellent research, analytical, and documentation skills.Ability to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and engagingly.Strong organizational skills for managing files, cataloging, and archiving.Experience with visual and illustrative content, such as diagrams and charts, is a plus.Preferred Skills and Experience
Relevant master’s degree +3 years of prior relevant experience.A military background within the Signal, Communications, Cyber, or Information Technology MOS will be heavily desired.Desired ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist in Field Service Management (FSM).#NSS
