This dynamic position is based in Colorado Springs, CO.
We are looking for a technical writer to join our team! This role will be comprised of the following duties:
• Responsible for the creation and update of technical orders and training documentation for the S2E2 program.
• Products will include instructor guides, student guides, and other technical documentation
• Works collaboratively with the engineering staff and SMEs to develop a product that meets the
instructional and technical learning requirements
• Communicates development status and issues to the leadership to ensure accurate metrics are provided
• Responsible for packaging and delivery courseware modifications
• Ensures the product follows US English guidelines and complies with customer requirements
This is an Early career role, (level 2) where candidates will require a minimum of 2+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with one or more of the following:
- Compiling technical data from various sources into a deliverable product that require regular use of ingenuity and creativity
- Experience in applying instructional design best practices
- Time management skills with strong attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet assigned deadlines
- Must possess an active DoD SECRET Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience with SharePoint as a user
• Strong interpersonal and teaming skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment
• Technical expertise and knowledge to develop technical solutions to complex problems
• Experience creating training material
• Excellent written and verbal skills including editing and proofreading
• Ability to travel locally (up to 10%)

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $55,100 - $105,800. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
