As a Technical Writer, you'll be working with Federal Government clients and Steampunk team members to support a design-led team as we develop and codify business processes, standardize methods and techniques, and provide documentation and business process improvement support to a variety of teams and clients.
ContributionsResponsibilities include:
Work collaboratively to customize and tailor documentation to support business process standardization, accountability, and increased efficiency and effectiveness. Identify areas of improvement that can be made in business processes and then work to document and implement those improvements within the program. Writing and editing easy-to-understand documentation, online help, and guides to support our Cloud design and developed vision. Communicate effectively and decisively with all levels of the organizationSolve practical problemsExercise sound judgement with regards to sensitive and confidential information. QualificationsRequired:
At least 3 years of experience performing technical writingAbility to work independently or with other team members to capture requirements and translate into technical documentation
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
Strong written and oral communication skills
Microsoft Office proficiency
Bachelor’s Degree or higher (may be substituted by 4 years of additional experience, requiring a total of 7 years of work experience, 4 of which must contain relavant writing and editing experience).Preferred:
Experience in writing user-friendly documentation based on past involvement with complex technical projectsExperience in technical writing of documentation (e.g., SOPs, CONOPS, test plans, testing documentation, training documentation, technical solution documents, product and service descriptions)Developing other supporting technical writing products as needed by the technical teams and program managers (e.g., presentations, reports, charts, visual aids)Preferred experience analyzing existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities, and creating and maintaining the information architectures. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
