Job Description Amentum is seeking a Technical Writer to support our customers from the Department of Justice. You will be part of our growing technical documenting and drafting a number of descriptions, manuals, reports, and procedures. Our employees have a drive for customer satisfaction, work in a fast-paced environment, and mentor junior engineers. Successful candidates will possess: + Excellent communication skills as the position requires direct interaction with customer and engineer personnel of varying technical levels across different functions. + The ability to take direction and operate independently as well as participate in team environments are necessary for this support effort. + You will support the DoJ by providing software documentation support throughout the lifecycle for the SENTRY software baselines. You will be responsible for developing technical papers detailing the needs, wants, stakeholder(s) requirements, and support. **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience + Experienced with technical documentation standards (2-4 years) + Writes, edits and proofreads technical data for use in documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures and specifications (2-4 years) + Works under general supervision, develops diagrams, charts, graphs that increases the users understanding (2-4 years) + Work with internal teams to obtain documentation requirements (2-4 years) + Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
