About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking a Technical Writer to support a federal customer in the DC Metro area.

 

High-Level Roles and Responsibilities

Create, Update and Maintain all technical documentation as assignedDevelop training material / videos as needed for Azure Enterprise InfrastructureCoordinate and provide training sessions to end usersMaintaining Architecture Diagram updates as neededAssistance with writing and organizing all documentation

Job responsibilities

Prepare instruction manuals, SOP’s and knowledge articlesDisseminate technical information in easy-to-understand language for a non-technical audienceHave technical accuracy in writing user documentationCreate documentation after a collaboration with subject matter experts and technical staffAbility to take existing and potential content and improve itConvert complex documentation to easy language for multiple audiencesWrite documentation for internal teams such as developers and programmersCommunicate complex ideas in a concise manner Qualifications

Skills and education required: 

Bachelor’s degree or higher or similar job experienceInformation Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related disciplines preferred.6+ years of proven experience in writing technical documentationServiceNow Knowledge Management experience or similar experience in other ITSM platformsUnderstand and explain complex technical conceptsStrong research and analytical skillsAbility to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlinesExcellent technical writing skillsExcellent verbal communication skillsSolid grip on documentation publishing software such as Adobe, SnagIt, and other softwareGood working knowledge of MS Office O365Detail-orientedMust be able to Multitask
