CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace. Chenega Agile Realtime Solutions (CARS) is seeking a skilled **Technical Writer** to support our Program Management Office (PMO) and Business Development (BD) teams in preparing high-quality documentation for federal contracting opportunities. This role will be responsible for drafting, editing, and organizing content related to Requests for Information (RFIs), Sources Sought notices, proposals, white papers, and other business development documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience writing for government contracts, technical solutions, and compliance-driven documents in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFAR). **Responsibilities** + Proposal Development: Assist in drafting, editing, and formatting content for RFIs, Sources Sought, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and Task Order responses. + Technical Writing: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and compelling narratives tailored for government clients. + Compliance & Formatting: Ensure all written materials comply with solicitation requirements, industry best practices, and company standards. + Collaboration: Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), capture managers, business development leads, contracts specialists, and PMO staff to develop winning proposal content and manage the business development pipeline. + Content Management: Maintain and update a repository of reusable content, including past performance write-ups, capabilities statements, and technical solution descriptions. + Graphics & Visuals: Assist with the development of infographics, flowcharts, and other visual aids to enhance proposal readability and impact. + Editing & Proofreading: Review documents for grammar, clarity, consistency, and compliance with proposal requirements and government standards. + Research & Analysis: Gather and synthesize information from various sources, including federal procurement websites (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, FPDS, etc.), industry reports, and competitor analysis. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). + 3+ years of experience in technical writing, government contracting, business development, or proposal writing. + Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DFAR, and federal procurement processes. + Experience supporting business development efforts for an 8(a), ANC, SDB, or other government contractor is highly desirable. + Background check required **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and proposal management software (e.g., SharePoint, GovWin, RFPIO, or similar tools). + Knowledge of Shipley or other proposal development methodologies is a plus. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output. + Strong research skills and attention to detail with the ability to synthesize information into compelling narratives. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and persuasiveness. + Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required **How you’ll grow** At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
