The Analytics Technical Writer will partner with multiple customers across the Enterprise to provide more complex resolutions to analytics/data problems (with a focus on Data Quality) which require a study of situational factors, gathering information from several sources, and will provide reporting/analytic deliverables (i.e. Analytics learning materials). Incumbent will confirm understanding of customers’ analytics/data literacy needs.Responsible for drafting content by evaluating, integrating, and consolidating information from multiple sources.
Translates complex healthcare information into clear and concise language for multiple audiences.
Develops, edits, and publishes content materials based on business objectives.
Partners with internal stakeholders and IT support groups to create, update, and load content material into various content management applications.
Coordinates all content publishing activities.
Utilizes all relevant and available tools that optimize learning opportunities for consumption by business partners and/or provides the business partners with user-friendly tools.
Review learning requirements and define parameters of more complex analytic concepts (health plan standards such as KPI, data flow, data modelling) for customers across the enterprise.
Creates curriculum plans and executes them to completion.
Prepares, develops, analyzes, shapes, and delivers curriculum path in an accurate and timely manner that align with data and analytics strategy and enterprise mission.
Builds collaborative relationship across functional teams and other analytic teams across the organization. Utilize reporting tools to retrieve customer feedback and curriculum/learning path completion.
Coordinates content reviews across impacted departments and compiles feedback to ensure the finalized product reflects business objectives.
Act as a liaison across business teams to communicate customer feedback and inquiries for resolution.
Reviews industry related newsletters/communications and new technology trends(tool/platform) to maintain a thorough knowledge of health care industry trends and developments.
Research and investigate key business problems through quantitative analyses of healthcare cost and quality data.
Expose all aspects of data preparation, analysis, and interpretation in order to meet customer deliverable.
Provide clear, concise, and efficient summary analysis to customer Compiles complex data concepts and simplify/tailor according to audience delivering learning modules to.
Evaluates and processes current and emerging data concepts for user friendly to empower end users.
Demonstrates keen judgment on involved and complex assignments; devises methods and procedures to meet unusual conditions and makes original contributions to the solution of very difficult problems. Follow department policies and procedures to ensure consistent utilization and cost reporting.
Employs appropriate techniques to ensure data and result integrity.
Maintains a high standard of compliance with all Horizon policies and regulations including data security.
Document work appropriately, including use of Analytic Plan/Timeline template for Analytic projects as appropriate. Performs other functions as assigned by management
Education/Experience
HSD or GED Required.
Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Field (i.e. Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, actuarial science, etc.) preferred.
Master’s Degree with at least two years of statistical analysis preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience using statistical concepts and tools.
A minimum of three (3) years of business and technical writing experience strongly recommended.
Demonstrated expertise in relational database concepts.
Demonstrates advanced statistical capabilities, data mining, forecasting and predictive modeling skills, and/or actuarial techniques.
Demonstrated skills in quality principles especially root cause analysis and problem solving.
Demonstrated business and technical problem-solving skills.
Relevant experience in analytic tools required (i.e. SAS, Snowflake, Python, R, Alation, Informatica, or others).
Prefers healthcare industry experience.
Knowledge:Candidates with general health care knowledge preferred.
Proficiency required in any of the following market leading data & analytic tools but not limited to: SAS, Snowflake, Python, R, Alation, Informatica or similar.
Requires proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel including formulas, calculations and graphs, PowerPoint).
Prefer knowledge of content publication tools such as SharePoint, Confluence, Visio, Figma and/or related e-learning tools
Skills and Abilities:Requires analytical thinking ability.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with significant attention to detail.
Ability to express analytic thoughts clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing is required with ability to track multiple priorities to completion.

Salary Range:
$86,000 - $117,390This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
