Job Description
This role involves assisting in supporting the learning needs of reference lab operations. You will collaborate with departmental subject matter experts, learning development specialists, and quality assurance personnel to curate content, design, and develop media-rich teaching and learning environments. These environments will engage learners by utilizing appropriate learning theories, strategies, and technologies.
ResponsibilitiesIsolate and work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design and develop training materials for lab operations.Develop deliverables such as competency assessments, online modules, and other learning documentation.Independently manage projects.Assist in conducting needs assessments to determine if a learning solution is needed.Help foster a positive culture within Learning Design through collaboration, collegiality, innovation, and product excellence.Essential SkillsTrainingTechnical writingLab environment experienceMedical writingTraining documentation1+ years of technical writing experienceBachelor's degree in a chemistry or biology field Additional Skills & QualificationsLab experience (preferably in veterinary or human labs)Experience with Smartsheet and SharePointWork Environment
This is a fully remote position, with a small team consisting of only one person on the Learning & Development team. You will collaborate with SMEs in a lab setting. The role offers schedule flexibility and competitive pay on a contract basis. If converted to a full-time employee, benefits include funding for extended education, pet insurance at little to no cost, and full PTO and benefit options.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
