MTSI is searching for an experienced Senior Technical Editor/Writer to support its team of business development and marketing professionals. This position is located at MTSI’s corporate office in Alexandria, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applications of generative artificial intelligence (AI).

Responsibilities:
Apply knowledge of state-of-the-art generative AI to recommending and using capabilities for BD and marketing content generation.In support of the business development and proposal team, lead draft and final input to technical, management, past performance, or personnel sections of solution artifacts and proposal volumes, working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate technical information into winning text in response to customer needs and proposal requirements. In support of the marketing team, interview Business Development/Engineering/Marketing SMEs to develop a marketing repository of compelling collateral (demos, videos, briefings−all classification levels) that can be easily accessed, tailored, and reused in support of customer engagements and presented in simple-to-understand language for the target audience.Key activities including interviewing SMEs, creating new text, and tailoring existing information to meet business development and marketing requirements. Proposal support examples include past performance and resume development.Additional proposal-focused activities include reviewing and editing of sections and volumes, understanding and meeting the proposal schedule, working with other proposal and review team members, preparing documentation for formal reviews, ensuring that proposals are compliant with all proposal requirements, and responding to direction from the proposal manager.As a Senior Technical Editor/Writer, may oversee and mentor junior writers and editors, as well as allocating writing assignments and activities among writing team members.Qualifications:
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, Journalism, English, or comparable area, and at least 5 years of related technical and proposal writing/editing experience.Highly organized and have outstanding writing and editing skills and experience, specifically focused on Government proposals.Ability to work to and meet deadlines, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization and work as part of a team.Ability to work collaboratively with technical staff to produce quality documents for delivery to a variety of clients.Characteristics necessary for success include: analytical, presentation, reasoning and problem-solving skills; the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision or feedback; and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with supported staff, managers and peers.Candidate must have demonstrated proficiency and experience with both traditional tools−g., MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)−and leading-edge capabilities including generative AI.Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance. Top Secret is highly preferred.
