Technical Writer (Hybrid)

ASRC Federal is seeking a Technical Writer to support a Cybersecurity Support program who will be responsible for crafting, revising, and editing technical documents, policies, procedures, and presentations to ensure clarity and effectiveness in communicating cybersecurity specifications and instructions.

 

This role involves acquiring in-depth subject knowledge by collaborating with senior leadership, process owners, and subject matter experts to understand policy and procedure requirements. The incumbent will develop and maintain Department of Defense (DoD) policies and procedures, catering to cybersecurity needs, while advocating for changes that support organizational cyberspace initiatives. Additionally, they will establish and maintain communication channels to ensure timely document generation and review, as well as compliance with quality, legal, organizational, and regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain technical documentation for cybersecurity programs including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); training materials; presentations; Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) writeups; and other deliverables. Create and maintain cybersecurity training materials, user guides, and presentations for various audiences including technical staff and executive leadership. Collaborate with senior leadership, process owners, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure the accuracy of technical content. Develop detailed DoD policies and procedures to support cybersecurity posture across on-premises and cloud environments. Track the review and submission status of documentation projects. Maintain project schedules, track milestones, and report on project status to stakeholders. Facilitate project meetings to ensure alignment and clear communication among team members. Review existing and proposed policies and procedures with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Ensure policies and processes comply with legal, quality, organizational, and regulatory requirements.
