Job Description

As a member of a highly collaborative, cross-functional software-development team, the Technical Writer will drive updates of user-facing documentation and work with software business analysts and subject-matter experts to refine software requirements and specifications to develop software for innovative diagnostic solutions that help hospitals determine the correct antibiotics to treat millions of infected patients each year.

Position Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a knack for simplifying complex technical language and will be responsible for:

Reviewing, updating and maintaining modifications to user-facing documentation and ensuring documentation is up-to-date and comprehensive, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with project goals and user needsAssisting team with creation of knowledge-transfer documentation for demonstration of software to stakeholders Simplifying and organizing software requirements and specifications documentationCreating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for various audiencesMaintaining and updating documentation as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience Minimum 1 year experience working as a Technical Writer, with proven ability to simplify complex technical concepts and languageExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency in documentation tools and softwareAbility to work in a highly collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in an ISO/FDA regulated environment as a member of a product-development organization (medical-device or biotech industry) preferredExperience in working alongside a software-development projectExperience working with software application-lifecycle-management (ALM) tools such as Helix, Jira, etc
