As a Game Rules Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating, editing, and reviewing clear, concise, and comprehensive game rules and other related documentation for our cutting-edge gaming devices. You will work closely with game development teams and other stakeholders to ensure that game rules are accurately describe game play and meet regulatory standards.  Your expertise in technical writing and passion for gaming will enable you to write clear, concise documentation for regulators and slot machines end users.  
 

Develop and review detailed game rules and related documentation. Collaborate with game designers, mathematicians, producers, project managers, and other members of the writing team to gather information and ensure accuracy. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and gaming. Provide input on game design elements from a player's perspective. Ensure all documentation complies with company standards and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or math. 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the gaming industry. Strong understanding of game design principles and player behavior. Must embrace working collaboratively and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in all relevant Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Ability to create clear and concise documentation for complex technical concepts. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to follow structured processes. Capable of succeeding in a dynamic work environment where project scopes and standards may often changes. At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $50,482/yr - $115,000/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
