Technical Writer Team Lead

Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesThe position is Team Lead of technical writers, managing project resources and ensuring the efficient production of high-quality documentation for MT LAB instruments. This role requires strong leadership skills, project management expertise, and a commitment to producing high-quality technical documentation.
Team Leadershipi. Being the primary contact for resource planning, project estimates, and task allocation.ii. Manage HR tasks and support for the team's needs.iii. Organize team meetings and one-on-ones to keep members informed and engaged.
2. Resource and Project Managementi. Act as the primary contact for resource planning and project distribution.ii. Monitor project timelines and identify potential bottlenecks.iii. Lead the establishment of a technical documentation team, ensuring adherence todocumentation standards.
3. Standardization and Collaborationi. Address standardization issues and promote best practices among the documentation team.ii. Collaborate with other departments to align technical documentation efforts.
4. Translation Oversighti. Oversee translation processes for user interfaces and documents, ensuring quality andefficiency and coordinate UI translations with externals.
5. Documentation and Tools Managementi. Maintain and manage a document database for proper tracking and archival.ii. Ensure accurate documentation creation, including service manuals and compliance content.iii. Implement improvements in documentation tools and processes.
6. Compliance and Communicationi. Track compliance-related documentation requirements and address any requests from thecompliance team.ii. Represent the technical documentation perspective in cross-project initiatives, ensuringdocumentation needs are met.What You Need to SucceedMinimum Qualification / Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university or college in MechanicalEngineering/Production Engineering.• Proven 10 – 12+ years of working experience in Technical Writing.• Proficiency in Simplified Technical English, Quanos Content Solutions and Schema ST4 withthe relevant certifications.• Knowledge and experince of handling end-to-end project of dcoument creation is desired.• Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.• Ability to work independently as well as with teams across matrix.• Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.• Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively.• Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed.• Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative.• Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker.• Innovative: Thinking out of the box, from different perspectives.• Effective communication – both verbal and written.• Willing to travel – both domestically and internationally for training/ stakeholder exchanges.
