Technician, Maint Facilities: Licensed HVAC
Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technician, Maintenance Facilities- Licensed HVAC to join our West Hartford, CT team.  This position will prepare for and perform operations in connection with moving, installing, repairing and maintaining a wide diversity of equipment, attachments and facility components. Includes electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, refrigeration, machine tool and all types of production equipment including test stands and machinery. Be skilled in at least one of the trades and be proficient in all disciplines listed above, able to perform without direct maintenance supervision. 

Responsibilities

•Procedures are standardized to a small degree. Work out details as required but refer all unusual problems to supervision 
•Work out details on assignments that involve welding, moving, installation, maintenance, repair alteration and related operations on all building systems including HVAC, production machinery, test stands and Power House equipment. 
•As needed, deliver lubricants, solvents, and chemicals and lubricate machinery.
•Prepared to run and operate the equipment in the Power House, Pollution Control Room and heat treat furnaces- complete heat treat cycles and safely shut down furnaces. 
•Perform all types of emergency repairs in the facility and equipment necessary to minimize production lost time or further damages. 
•Assist in securing the facility at the end of shift, or during inclement weather including floods or snow removal. 
•Operate high pressure stationary steam boilers and associated equipment, forced and induced draft, combustion controls and other Power House equipment to include oil and gas burners. 
•Perform other details necessary to complete assigned work, making recommendations and refer unusual problems or questions to supervision. 
•Reset low voltage switch gear in vault with the assistance of a second person. 
•Perform preventative maintenance on all types of equipment including tow motors and other moving equipment. 

Qualifications

•Knowledge of blueprints, specifications and instructions 
•Certified, Licensed HVAC required 
•Knowledge of measuring instruments required 
•Experience working in Manufacturing environment preferred
