Key Accountabilities

Complete daily schedule of assignments to pick up and transport waste from customersComplete local deliveriesLoad and offload products and waste as requiredComplete documentation accurately including manifests, log books and bills of ladingDocument dangerous goods in compliance with TDG regulationsConduct samplingWork within the guidelines of Transport Canada RegulationsTrain on unfamiliar processes and equipment, within established guidelinesConduct proper segregation of waste to ensure quality of commodity and to minimize processing costsCoordinate maintenance of assigned vehicles and equipmentFollow Environment, Health and Safety policies, procedures, and all environmental protocols and requirementsActively participate in safety meetings, identify and report all incidents and participate in investigations as necessaryDemonstrate an understanding of internal and external customer requirements and provide high quality servicePerform other operational duties as assigned

Experience, Qualifications & Education

Class 1 driver’s licenseLocated in Southern NS Valley AreaMinimum 2-3 years’ operating semi-truck with van trailer. Knowledge of TDG, WHMIS, and DOT RegulationsAbility to complete BOLs and Waste Movement documents as compliant with TDG RegulationsDemonstrated physical ability to work, including but not limited to, length sitting, climbing, lifting and pulling.Ability to work weekends and statutory holidaysPre-Employment and regular site access drug and alcohol testing required
