We are now seeking an Underground Maintenance Electrician (Fixed Plant) to join our maintenance team. This permanent role is based at the Tropicana Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth or Kalgoorlie.
Accountable to the Supervisor Electrical Maintenance, this role is responsible for the maintenance of the underground infrastructure.
Accountabilities:
Carrying out maintenance tasks in an underground mining area on fixed plant infrastructure as directed by the Underground Electrical Supervisor or Superintendent; Installation and maintaining LV and HV electrical power; Maintaining substations, pumping systems, refuge chambers and surface infrastructure at an underground mine; Ensuring team compliance with all company, legislative and statutory regulations in regards to electrical; Working within the maintenance team carrying out maintenance and installation work; Work closely with electrical department personnel; Liaising with maintenance personnel and supervisors on safety, performance and technical issues; Assisting in the execution of daily, weekly, monthly work plans and schedules;
About You

Current WA Electrical Workers License. High Voltage Switching Operations Competency. Previous experience in the mining industry preferably in maintenance and installations in underground hard rock mining and surface infrastructure The ability to work with noise, dust, elevated work areas, confined spaces, extremes of temperature, water and slurry environments A nationally accredited Working at Heights certification is desirable but not essential Good written and verbal skills Hold a current WA ‘C’ class drivers license The ability to obtain a National Police Clearance Existing and ongoing permanent working rights in Australia (Mandatory)
