Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a skilled technician to perform basic troubleshooting, testing, and calibration of products. The role involves documenting test results, tagging items for acceptance or rejection, and conducting repairs or adjustments. The technician will advise supervisors of test and quality issues and maintain a clean workstation. Knowledge of circuit theory, familiarity with digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, and signal generators, and basic computer skills are required. A technical certificate or equivalent and three years of related experience are necessary.

Job Description

DUTIES:

Performs basic level troubleshooting, tDesting, and calibration 

Documents test results and tags items for acceptance or rejection

Performs repairs or adjustments on selected products

Advises supervisor of test and quality problems

May repair products by using a history record of similar problems

Maintains a neat, clean and orderly workstation and adjacent areas

SKILL, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Technical certificate and or equivalent

3+ years of related experience

The ability to troubleshoot non-complex circuits to the component level  

The ability to follow written and verbal instructions is required

Requires familiarity with the basic functions of digital multi-meter (DMM), oscilloscopes, frequency counters and signal generators

Must have some level of understanding of analog circuit and digital circuit theory, Ohm’s law, power formulas, passive filters and basic semiconductors

Ability to repair products by using a history record of similar problems

Basic computer skills required

Must be able to lift 40 lbs
