We have an outstanding Contract position for aTechnicianto join a leading Company located in theMinneapolis, MNsurrounding area. We are seeking an experienced electrical/electronic technician to work in its Electrical Engineering Lab. This position will support complex electronic products and support equipment, design, development, fabrication, assembly, test, inspection, troubleshooting, rework, and repair. Responsibilities : + Fabrication, assembly, test, and inspection per engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions + Conduct testing and generate report data + Able to work as part of a group or team + Experience assembling electronic and mechanical equipment and components + Assemble, rework, and repair circuit boards containing surface mount and through-hole components + Fabricate electrical parts from sketches/drawings and prepare samples for testing + Operate equipment necessary to fulfill these duties + Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies + Assist engineers in the design and development of new electronic systems cabling and test equipment + Develop and prepare schematics, design specifications, and parts lists, or make recommendations regarding these items + Review designs and specifications of test equipment for adequacy + Conduct tests or experiments requiring selection, set-up, operation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of equipment + Troubleshooting of electronic, electrical systems + Determine engineering/test data to be collected, extract information, and perform calculations to analyze test data + Create test procedures, conduct tests, record data, analyze data, and write reports Basic Hiring Criteria : + 2- year technical degree + Minimum 2 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in a production or prototype environment Desired Qualifications : + Two or more years of experience working in an engineering product development, test, or production environment + Required skills include proficient use of electronic test equipment, machine tools, and hand tools + Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches + Preferred skills include proficient use of complex fabrication equipment, fabrication and assembly to precise tolerances and standards, and ability to understand complex engineering drawings and information + Trained and proficient in manufacturing & quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-610 or have knowledge of these requirements VEVRAA Federal Contractor / Request Priority Protected Veteran Referrals / Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visithttp://www.tadpgs.com/candidate-privacy/orhttps://pdsdefense.com/candidate-privacy/ The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: + The California Fair Chance Act + Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance + Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers + San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
