Job Title: Technician We are seeking a meticulous and organized Utility Equipment Disassembler to join our team for an 18-month contract. In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling the equipment, and properly organizing and storing components for recycling, including batteries. This position is based in our office from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities: + Equipment Disassembly: Safely remove utility equipment (e.g., electrical components, batteries, wiring) from utility poles. + Component Organization: Sort and organize disassembled parts for proper storage or recycling. + Battery Handling: Identify, remove, and properly store batteries for recycling, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. + Documentation: Maintain accurate records of disassembled components and recycling processes. + Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while handling tools and equipment. + Inventory Management: Track and manage parts inventory to ensure all necessary components are accounted for. + Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to meet project goals and deadlines. Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent. + Previous experience in disassembly, assembly, or recycling preferred, but not required. Ability to work with hand tools and small mechanical equipment safely. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift and move moderate weights (up to 40 lbs). + Knowledge of safety protocols, particularly related to electrical equipment, is a plus. + Strong communication and teamwork skills. + Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently. Working Conditions: + Office-based position with standard work hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday). + Contract duration of 18 months with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
