Job Description
Our Building and Construction Division is seeking a skilled Construction Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building frames for door and window test specimens, utilizing various construction equipment, and performing general labor tasks. This role requires proficiency in welding, carpentry, and the use of standard construction methods, equipment, materials, tools, and practices.
ResponsibilitiesPerform stick welding on tube steel and angle iron.Construct frames for door and window test specimens.Operate boom-lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts safely and efficiently.Perform general labor tasks as needed.Build bucks and test chambers for windows and doors to test for severe weather conditions.Assemble test chambers using woodworking techniques.Follow standard methods, equipment, materials, tools, and practices of construction.Essential SkillsAbility to cut steelAbility to weldProficiency in operating boom-lifts, scissor lifts, and forkliftsProficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel to document daily productionProficiency in stick welding of tube steel and angle ironExperience in construction, welding, and carpentryAbility to read a tape measureUse of power tools and basic toolsSafety orientedKnowledge of standard construction methods, equipment, materials, tools, and practicesAdditional Skills & QualificationsSkilled in woodworking for chamber assemblyStrong attention to detail and safety protocolsWhy Work Here?
We offer great benefits, PTO (4 weeks), and 401k with a 2.5% match if the employee contributes 5%. This is a contract-to-hire position with growth opportunities within the company, including the possibility of advancing to a lead role.
Work Environment
Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm (Flexible on schedule). Shop environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
