Job Title: Entry Level Technician
Job Description

We are seeking entry-level technicians to join our team in Coralville, IA. You will be responsible for performing cleanings and preventative maintenance on our equipment, ensuring the integrity of the samples processed in the lab. This role involves working with synthesizers and various other machines in a repetitive and meticulous process.

ResponsibilitiesPerform cleanings and preventative maintenance on synthesizers processing DNA in the lab.Handle other machines such as robotic liquid handlers, HPLC machines, gas phase routers, and reagent dispensers.Replace filters and perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.Ensure the proper functioning of over 50 synthesizers on-site.Essential Skills1+ year of experience in maintenance, mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting.Experience with mechanical and low voltage electrical components.Troubleshooting, mechanical repair, and preventive maintenance skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with hand and power tools.Background in service, construction, hydraulics, blueprint reading, pneumatics, and installation.Experience in similar roles such as farm hands is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our work environment is climate-controlled and very clean. The equipment maintenance team consists of 15-18 members. You will join a team with a supportive culture and a focus on safety and quality. The following shifts are available: Week Days (Mon-Thurs, 6am to 5pm), Week Nights (Mon-Thurs, 6pm to 5am), Weekend Days (Fri-Sun, 6am to 6pm), and Weekend Nights (Fri-Sun, 6pm to 6am). The dress code includes a lab coat, glasses, and gloves provided by the company. Candidates should wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and long sleeve shirts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coralville, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.59 - $29.87
