The Technician is responsible creating a quality product through a series of manufacturing processes. The Technician complies with cGMP guidelines and performs tasks as specified by the customer order schedule.

Shift: Monday-Friday 2 PM - 10 PM

The Role

Deliver basic skills in all manufacturing areas including Dispense and Mixing, Form Fill Freeze, Sealing, and Secondary Packaging.

Minimize equipment downtime and improve equipment availability.

Ensure team consistently sets site quality best practices by demonstrating zero defect behavior, continually challenging and raising Quality standards. 

Perform machine, equipment, GMP area (daily or weekly schedule) cleaning as required.

Recommend improvements to the batch manufacturing process and SOP’s to increase process efficiency and effectiveness.

Keep your personal training record up to date with the requirements for this grade, and ensure Compliance Wire training requirements are carried out within specified due dates.

Other duties as assigned

The Candidate

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required

2 years or more of experience in manufacturing environment

GMP work experience preferable 

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing experience is an advantage 

Currently Catalent does not participate in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

Candidates with non-Canadian credentials must provide an evaluation confirming the Canadian equivalency of the credentials as determined by the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC) such as WES.

Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day. May be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective gear and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others. Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders/steps, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen, writing, talking, listening. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, carrying, reaching with hands and arms. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25kg.
