Job Description

As an Equipment Repair Mechanic, you will be responsible for completing installation and repair on truck equipment used in the utilities, construction, and service industries. This includes working on liftgates, cranes, and truck beds. Each day will present different tasks and challenges.

ResponsibilitiesInstall and repair truck equipment including liftgates, cranes, and truck beds.Perform welding tasks, preferably certified in aluminum and steel.Work with automotive and mechanical equipment.Utilize SAE certifications and truck equipment certifications in daily tasks.Use hand tools and power tools to complete repairs.Mentor lower-level mechanics and provide guidance.Work on 12 V electrical systems and chassis frames; shortening and lengthening as needed.Perform proficient installations and services on liftgates.Essential SkillsAutomotive repairMechanical equipment handlingMechanical inclinationWelding experienceASE certifications (E1 rating and passes ASE E3 Rating)Truck equipment knowledgeProficiency with hand tools and power toolsAdditional Skills & QualificationsWelding certification in aluminum and steel (preferred)Certificates from 5 OEM training schools such as Muncie, IMTCO, or equivalentExperience in 12 V electrical systemsExperience with chassis frames; shortening and lengtheningWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be working in a large shop with 14 bays, with some tasks completed outdoors on equipment. The team environment encourages growth and offers the opportunity to engage in different tasks every day.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
