**Technician** **Job Description** As a Technician, you will be responsible for locating and detecting leaks at various work locations, primarily in manufacturing and plant settings. Your role will involve repairing leaking pipes, measuring parts, and sending measurements to the manufacturing facility to create clamps. You will also install these clamps to fix leaks, using hand and power tools, and performing drilling and tapping of parts. Additionally, you will interface with clients at customer sites, work with a lead technician, and oversee a territory that includes Ohio, West Virginia, Southern Michigan, North Eastern Kentucky, and Western Pennsylvania. Travel time is compensated, and you will be on call 24/7, responding to calls within the hour. **Responsibilities** + Locate and detect leaks at work locations. + Repair leaking pipes in manufacturing/plant settings. + Measure parts using tape measures and calipers. + Send measurements to the manufacturing facility to create clamps. + Install clamps to fix leaks. + Use hand and power tools for repairs. + Perform drilling and tapping of parts. + Interface with clients at customer sites. + Collaborate with lead technician to complete repairs. + Oversee a territory that includes Ohio, West Virginia, Southern Michigan, North Eastern Kentucky, and Western Pennsylvania. + Stay overnight 2-3 times per month as needed. + Clock in and out for travel time. + Be on call 24/7 and respond to calls within the hour. + Wear full PPE when dealing with leaks that may consist of wastewater, steam, chemicals, etc. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical aptitude with at least 2 years of experience. + Proficient in using hand and power tools. + Ability to read a tape measure and use calipers. + Ability to operate an iPad and cell phone. + Capability to lift up to 75 pounds. + Valid driver's license. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a leak technician or similar role. + Knowledge in leak sealing, hot tapping, machining, field machining, pipe cutting, and manual machining. + Clean shaven for sites requiring a respirator. + Experience in mechanical roles such as boiler technician, navy hall tech, tank mechanic, military mechanic, machinist mate, aircraft mechanic, field technician, maintenance, farm mechanic, tire tech, oil change tech, millwright, or pipefitter. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a minimum of 40 hours of pay per week, even if you do not work the full 40 hours. Experience something new every day in a dynamic environment. **Work Environment** You will be working in various manufacturing plants with different environmental conditions, which may be hot in summer and cold in winter. Fieldwork will expose you to outside elements year-round. Standard hours are 7 am to 3 pm, but flexibility is required as some plants may start at 6 am. You will be on call 24/7, needing to respond to calls within an hour. The average workweek is 50 hours but can vary. Full PPE is required when dealing with certain leaks. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Lima, Ohio **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr. 1. Will be paid for a minimum of 40 hours a week even if they do not work 40 2. Benefits after 45 days - see me for benefits package 3. OT after 8 hours daily and anytime on Saturday, Doubletime anytime on Sunday and Doubletime evening/early morning hours 4. Will be given company cell phone, and ipad 5. May be given company vehicle, credit card 6. Per Diem is paid any day they work 12 hours or any overnight stay - $50/day -- paid daily 7. Paid every 2 weeks 8.
