**Technician** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled technician with experience in carpentry, drywall, spackle, and basic computer knowledge. You will report to the local office and travel to job sites within the region to perform various commercial tasks including framing, finish trim, board-ups, hanging and finishing drywall, painting, water treatment, demolition work, and debris removal. You will follow directions from the crew chief and work on property restoration projects. **Responsibilities** + Read work orders or receive instructions from the supervisor regarding painting. + Smooth surfaces and remove old paint to prepare surfaces for painting. + Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler. + Spread drop cloths over floors and room furnishings, and cover surfaces such as baseboards, door frames, and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. + Work ready to 60 to 90 hours a week if needed, be on a rotation for on-call work, and travel as required for catastrophic losses. + Maintain a clean-shaven, professional appearance, have transportation, a valid driver's license, and pass a company compliance check and drug test. + Use computers to enter basic job/project information. **Essential Skills** + Experience in painting and carpentry (minimum 6 months). + Mechanical inclination and ability to follow directions. + Ability to read a tape measure. + Basic computer skills including data entry in Excel and the ability to use the copy & paste function. + Valid driver's license and clean driving record. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $35360.00 - $41600.00/yr. The client offers PTO, Vacation days, sick days. Each year a percentage will be added.
