Position Summary Energizers' Battery R&D team is seeking candidates to provide key support of product design improvements by executing routine and non-routine experiments and tasks that have the most impact on product development or in defining the causes and solutions of technical problems within research and development. Responsibilities Plans and executes routine and non-routine experiments and tasks Perform routine and non-routine calculations; creates routine and non-routine tables, charts, and graphs Create reports that summarize data and analyzes for exceptions Assist with writing formulations and peer-reviewing formulations for cells scheduled to be built on the pilot line Conduct manual operations, including the use of laboratory equipment and the handling of chemicals Assist with teardown and imaging of batteries for troubleshooting purposes Use appropriate materials and equipment and understands their principles of use or operation Practice proper safety procedures and reports unsafe acts or conditions Develop subject matter expertise in the tests and processes utilized by key Specialty technologists Complete bench work and testing assigned by Technologists/Engineers while accurately recording and documenting results, observations, and any deviations Utilize Lab Management software to schedule testing of cells submitted to the onsite testing lab Assist with lab housekeeping and audit duties such as lab audit prep and cell/chemical disposal Coordinate the receipt of competitive cells from internal stakeholders and ensure they are submitted for the required testing Assist with creating and auditing SOPs for the work being completed to create a smooth transition for new colleagues needing to be trained Understand basic principles of energy systems and/or devices in assigned area May also perform additional duties as assigned What we are looking for Minimum 1 year of general science or engineering college coursework or equivalent experience/education Exposure to health risks or conditions which may require the use of (PPE) Personal Protective Equipment (including Safety Glasses, Gloves, Lab Coat and may be required to use a respirator) A good fundamental understanding of higher level mathematics, mechanics, general science, and general computer applications including Microsoft office products What we prefer Associate Degree or higher in Physical Sciences (example: Chemistry, Physics) or Engineering Minimum 2 years of demonstrated related experience in a technical laboratory, industrial manufacturing, or similar environment Come join us! Total Rewards Package The salary range for this position is USD $46,000.00/Yr. - USD $57,000.00/Yr. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
