Technician- Calibration/IQA II IND

Basic Job Functions:

Support the plant metrology calibration through internal or external calibration to ensure compliance to Quality Control Procedures and records per Company Policy and ISO Standards. Maintain the quality system procedures and quality programs.   Conduct inspections of incoming product to ensure conformance to established specifications. Train up new hire technician.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Responsible for plant metrology gages calibration as per schedule and work process.  Perform Level II troubleshooting by understanding on FS process flow, WI, defects mode and basic metrology gage troubleshooting. Responsible to maintain the calibration system records and practices for the allocated plant. Support the implementation of corrective/preventive actions and continuous improvement activities.  Communicating and interact with all metrology gage owners for internal or external calibration. Responsible for execution and maintain Quality Control Procedures and records per Company Policy and ISO Standards. Complete assignments and projects as directed with minimum supervision from Engineer. Responsible for inspections of incoming product for compliance to quality standards using analytical measuring devices. Review and approval of Certificate of Analysis documents supplied by the suppliers. Quality results and record retention using SAP and related computer systems. Communication with Engineering and Supplier Quality Group for problem solving activities related to components. Interfaces with other departments including development engineering to support quality activities during ETA’s. Responsible to update investigation report to superior/Supplier Quality Engineer when a nonconformance material found.

Experience:

5 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum 2 years experiences in incoming materials inspection and calibration system.

Education:

Diploma in Technical field

Required Skills:

Behavioral    

Pay attention to detail. Self-motivated

Technical

Proven problem-solving skills, including use of basic quality tools (Pareto analysis, SPC, gage R & R, etc.) Experience with ISO 9001, including Internal Audit Procedures. Experience using micrometers, gage blocks and microscopes. Proven computer skills (Word and Excel required). Proven communications skills.

Physical Requirements (if any)

Will sit or stand for long periods of time throughout the day. Required to lift up to 25 lbs. Will walk and climb stairs. Will reach over shoulder heights and below waist. Required to use hands to lift, handle, carry or feel. May be required to kneel, bend, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities are required.
