Technician Cardiac Exercise Lab Company: Bon Secours Charity Medical Group City/State: Stony Point, NY Category: Allied Health Prof/Technical Department: Cardiology Consultant A Union: NO Position: Full Time Hours: 80 Shift: Days Req #: 9464 Posted Date: Feb 25, 2025 Hiring Range: $17.17 - $21.58 Apply Now External Applicant link Internal Applicant link Job Details: Summary: The Technician performs various duties for Stress Testing, Echo Stress, Remote Monitoring Responsibilities: + Prepares the room for patients for tests which includes exercise stress test, pharmacologic stress test, stress echocardiograms and nuclear stress tests. + Responsible for the provision, quality, patient safety, maintenance and medical records regarding stress testing procedures. + Responsibilities in assisting in 12- lead EKG’s, reporting of remote monitoring, reporting patients with pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders. Reports results to physician for review. + Assists in comprehensive patient history and chart review in preparation for stress test. + Applies EKG electrodes and prepares stress testing equipment. + Works under physician and registered nurse to complete stress test. + Seeks assistance and supervision when necessary. + Interacts and assists nursing staff and physicians to provide safe, appropriate stress testing. + Certified in BLS and recognizes patient events encountered with stress test, and be able to initiate CPR. + Performs resting EKG as requested. + Provides record keeping and filing. + Maintains cleaning equipment and procedure rooms in neat and tidy fashion + Orders supplies and stocks the procedure rooms. + Generates monthly reports and bills accordingly. + Performs other tasks as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: Experience: 5 years experience working in a cardiac setting with technician duties required. Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Licenses / Certifications: Current BLS Certificate required. Other: EMR training required. Remote monitoring training preferred.
