Position Summary

The Technician – Component Rebuild performs operational duties relating to the service and repair of components for diesel engines and/or heavy off-road equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining, overhauling, and rebuilding components.

Primary Responsibilities

Perform maintenance activities on new and rebuilt/repaired components, including cleaning, repairing, reconditioning, overhauling, and rebuilding.Ensures all service reports are completed accurately and efficiently.Cleans mechanical parts and components.Maintains customer satisfaction by understanding customer needs and ensuring deadlines are met.Adheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in the shop area.Transports components, parts, and equipment as directed around the facility.

Occasional/Other Responsibilities:

Assists with ordering parts, writing service reports, the return of parts, core returns, and assigning time scheduling.

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma or GED.3 years or more of experience in a related field required, preferably with heavy equipment components, engines, and transmissions.

Preferred:

Associates in related technical field (Diesel Technology).5 years or more of experience in a related field, preferably with heavy equipment components, engines, and transmissions.
