About the Opportunity

We are recruiting for Technicians join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Operations with their nuclear fleet in the UK. This is a key role within our Stations Services team based at Torness Power Station.

In this role you will support work across the UKs Nuclear Power Station fleet in the UK, reporting to the Site General Manager and Field Supervisors as your reporting line. The team you will work within will be both diverse and inclusive (the Client, and other suppliers) to maintain the safe operational status of these important nuclear facilities by carrying out routine maintenance of plant, routine testing of plant, complete refurbishment of plant, modification to plant and outage support activities. This role has no direct reports.

Everyone working in our team will have a proven track record of working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture. Good communication and organisational skills are required along with the ability to develop relationships, maintain effective networks and be results-focused with a team-centred approach. *

Good communication and organisational skills are required along with the ability to develop relationships, maintain effective networks and be results-focused with a team-centred approach. * Commitment to all health and safety guidelines Safety critical understanding or having worked within a structured organisation Demonstrates high engineering and health and safety standards NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification within one of the following disciplines\: Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, Civil, Construction & Commissioning NVQ Level 3 in Lifting and Moving Loads Completion of Apprenticeship in appropriate technical discipline acceptable Proven experience as Technician (or relevant role) Excellent knowledge of plant, machinery, systems, and components Aptitude in using various hand tools and precision measurement tools Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read Work Order Cards, RAMS, instructions, blueprints, schematic diagrams, general arrangements, building layout / containment drawings, knowledge of assigned (example HVAC) systems, similar systems, or equivalent systems Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic awareness of CAD
