Description Position at MacAllister Machinery

Objective

This position is primarily responsible is evaluating and performing service and/or repair jobs on engines, generators. 

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities: 

Plans and performs scheduled services on equipment (generators, diesel and or gas engines, transfer switches, switch gear, and etc.) in the field using proper tools and procedures Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently; work orders, service reports, allocation of time, and tracking parts Maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring customer needs and deadlines are metComplete all scheduled repairs in a safe and efficient mannerFollow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulationsAdheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in work area

  

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

No formal responsibility for supervising othersQualifications

Required: 

High School diploma or GED or equivalent work experience 3 years or more of mechanical experience with engines/generatorsValid Driver’s License

  

Preferred: 

5 years or more experience with engines/generators, preferably Caterpillar equipmentChauffer’s License or ability to obtain one within 6 months of employmentExperience with transfer switches, switch gear, uninterrupted power source (UPS) equipment
