Technician I, II, III, Instrument & Electrical
**Basic Function** **Inspects, troubleshoots, and maintains electrical power circuits and equipment, control and automation systems, electronic and pneumatic equipment used in gas and/or hydrocarbon storage, pipeline and compressor station operations, leach plant operations, and potential measurement facilities. One position in Hudson & one position in Ancona. This position is for 2 current openings.** **Primary Duties and Responsibilities** **• Installs, inspects, maintains, operates, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates and adjusts various pneumatic, hydraulic, electric and electronic devices.** **• Installs, programs, troubleshoots and repairs various Programmable Logic (PLC) controls.** **• Installs, programs, troubleshoots, repairs various SCADA equipment.** **• Perform preventative maintenance checks on compressors, pumps, drivers, and auxiliary equipment, including utilization of Lockout/Tagout Programs.** **• Performs Inspection and Maintenance (I&M) Compliance checks on all control systems and components.** **• Maintain electrical switch gear and power distribution systems up to and including 4160 VAC.** **• Install, analyze and maintain gas measurement systems (Ultrasonic/DP/Orifice)** **• Respond to emergency and operational needs whenever necessary.** **• Identify and report safety and environmental concerns.** **• Completes appropriate documentation and paperwork.** **Required Qualifications/Experience** **• Intermediate computer skills with MS operating system and current MS Office applications, and quick to learn other applications (i.e., company software).** **• Associates degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.** **• Five years’ work experience in instrumentation, electronics and control systems.** **• Working experience with low and high-pressure water pumps, electronic equipment, high pressure gas and processing equipment.** **• Experience preparing drawings of electrical circuits.** **• Working knowledge of National Electric Code and NFPA 70E** **• Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams.** **• Experience applying and interpreting results from common electrical measurement instruments (voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter, calibration instruments, etc.).** **Preferred Qualifications/Experience** + **Experience with reciprocating engines and gas turbine engines and ancillary equipment.** + **Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high-pressure systems.** + **Knowledge/Experience with process controls and understanding of gas and liquid processing fundamentals.** + **Experience with Rockwell Automation RS5000, RS500 and FTView** + **Experience with GE iFix** + **ISA CCST Certifications** **Required License** **• Valid driver’s license and safe driver’s record** **Physical Requirements** **• Lift and carry medium to heavy weight items.** **• Reach overhead for items, stoop, bend, and twist while working.** **• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 50 pounds of force frequently.** **• Other physical activities include crouching, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions.** **• Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to operate a computer.** **NOTES:** **The person in this position is required to work for extended periods of time in varied weather conditions.
