Technician I -- $2000 Sign On Bonus 2 Description: **Position Title** **:** **General Mechanic / Maintenance Technician $2000 SIGN ON BONUS** **Pay Range** : $30.14 – 36.02 per hour **Sign-on Bonus** : $1000 after 30 days with perfect attendance $500 after 6 months $500 after 1 year **Category/Shift** : Hourly Full-Time 12 hour shifts – 7am-7pm or 7p-7am. 4 x 3 Rotation, 3 Day Weekend Every Other Weekend. 1st week – Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 2nd week – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday **Physical Location** : Gateway Sheets 5300 Bircher Blvd. St. Louis, Mo. 63120 **The Job You Will Perform:** 1 - performing preventative maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels2 - performing emergency / break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations 3 - referencing equipment manuals and other technical literature; knowledge of detailed mechanical equipment drawings and ability to use detailed blueprints in carrying out troubleshooting and equipment repair 4 - contacting and working with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results 5 - accurately using measurement and test equipment; knowledge of types of pitch, diameter of gears (spur, bevel, right angle, herringbone and rack and pinion); ability to install and check for backlash and wear and maintain gears; knowledge of all tools and proficient with scales, tape measures, micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, torque wrenches and pullers6 - performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed; read and interpret pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and diagrams; ability to design, build and install simple pneumatic and hydraulic systems 7 -safely operating the boiler, and maintaining adequate operation steam pressure (greater than or equal to 180 PSI) 8 - knowledge of mechanical drives and their function and troubleshooting 9 - knowledge of rigging (coma longs, port-a-power, blocking, chain falls, slings, chokers, hydraulic jack, machine dollies, booms and spreader bars10 – Welding Experience helpful, not required 11 - Identify types of bearing and class of fits (roller, ball, tapered & cylindrical and spherical) identify proper sizing of belts, sheaves, sprockets & chains.12 - maintaining clean and organized work areas, and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks 13 - accurately and completely preparing and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork 14 - utilize maintenance computer system to enter notifications, time, research parts, manuals, drawings, etc.15 - trouble-shooting and solving problems 16 - maintaining teamwork with other associates 17 - keeping supervision informed of problems and/or unusual situations **The Skills You Will Bring:** + Minimum of 2 years of high speed industrial mechanical and electrical systems + Knowledge of AC/DC Motor Drives + Machine Wiring + Relay Logic + Ladder Logic + PLC Troubleshooting + Mechanical Equipment + Conveyors + Motors + Hydraulics + Pneumatics + Knowledge of Corrugation Machines a Plus + Ability to Read Blueprints, Schematics, Diagrams and Sketches + Proficient in Operation of Basic Tools including Hand Tools, Power Tools, Welders, Torches etc. + Qualifications for maintenance technicians include the ability to perform the duties / responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation;
