Technician I
About the role To install, maintain, repair and modify production equipment and machinery to support production requirements. Work directly with production personnel and supervisors on a daily basis to solve immediate manufacturing problems and ensure safety. What you will be doing + Work with Manufacturing Engineers and contractors in the implementation of set-up reductions and productivity improvements. DFT line designs and machinery upgrades. + Carry out scheduled maintenance and testing of all machinery and equipment in accordance with the machinery database + Respond to emergency situations that affect production capabilities and safety in a timely manner to allow continuation of production activities. + Operate tool and die machinery with skill enough to make simple tooling and fixturing when necessary. + To provide cover when required on rotating call out system for production breakdowns and operational needs. + Ensure that all activities adhere to the relevant quality system. + Ensure work is always carried out in accordance with the relevant Health. Safety and Environmental Procedure. + Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Production Engineering Supervisor or Engineering Manager. How you will be making an impact This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery and equipment. By installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying production equipment, you directly support production requirements, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes. Your daily interactions with production personnel and supervisors facilitate prompt problem-solving and ensure safety protocols are adhered to.
