Technician III (2424) Multimedia - ATSS Job Code:2025:0101-008 Location:Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD FT/PT Status:Full Time Business Sector:Test Range Operations Job Description Creates, edits, and outputs computer graphics for use in print and on-screen presentation. Supports operation of conference rooms and video teleconferencingfacilities as well as presentation of laptop-based down-range briefings. Duties and Responsibilities* Duplicates and labels CDs and DVDs and operates matte cutting, mounting, laminating and framing equipment. * Performs video editing, classification marking and compression and web site maintenance. Understands a broad range of digital graphics file formats (.jpg, gif, .tif, .png, etc.). * Designs and integrates graphics, video, and audio into interactive media. * Compiles creative and technical video projects that incorporate music, sound effects, narration, and multiple video layers and graphics to create a video that presents a concept or emotion in abstract visuals using industry standard software.* Authors disc and web-based applications, interactive applications, including scripting using industry standard applications. Performs web site management and maintenance, including scripting (html, CSS, JavaScript, XML or similar). * Integrates many types of data assets, including video, 3D elements, animations and spreadsheets, into interactive disc and web-based applications and videos.* Designs, creates, and animates 3D models from a variety of source materials, including CAD files, photos, and mechanical drawings, using industry standard software (3DS Max, Lightwave, Maya, etc.).* Develops interactive data, graphic, and information visualization applications, employing scripting languages such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and AppleScript when required.* Develops new capabilities and workflows to enhance the acquisition and presentation of visual test data and processing of test assets.* Responsible for the customer interaction, concept development, time and workflow management, allocation of tasks, and outcome of multiple video, 3D or interactive application projects simultaneously. * Proactively resolves technical, interpersonal, creative and logistical issues of assigned projects.* Accepts primary responsibility for the fulfillment of mission critical requirements such as overseeing control of classified assets and management of test data processing and delivery workflows. Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications* Must have 5 yr. of applicable experience or at least 60 credit hours or an Associate’s Degree and 3 yrs. applicable experience; or 30 credit hours and 4 yrs. applicable experience; or completion of a formal training program and 3 yrs. applicable experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year applicable experience.* Shall possess basic computer skills.Physical Qualifications* The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment and sometimes in the field where you are subject to the environment.* Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.* Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time.* Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs. unassisted.* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.* Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilities.Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements* Must be a U.S. Citizen.* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and periodic retests. * Must be able to successfully complete a background check. * Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.The above are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel in this position.
