Job OverviewThe TE Connectivity Industrial Filters Subvertical has an opening for an Engineering Technician IV in Edison, New Jersey. This team focuses on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Filters and Power Quality solutions for the Industrial Automation and Electrification markets.
Position Overview: The Engineering Technician IV will support new product development, product extensions, rapid prototyping, custom designs, and sustaining efforts for the existing product line. Responsibilities include assembling and testing prototypes, performing quality checks, conducting electrical and environmental testing, and documenting results per quality procedures. The role also involves ensuring adherence to TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures. This position reports to the Engineering Lead in Edison, NJ, and collaborates across Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Product Management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and test new and existing EMC Filters. Collaborate with global manufacturing teams, procurement, and suppliers to meet technical, quality, and cost objectives. Execute design verification and validation testing to meet required specifications. Ensure a smooth transition to full-scale production through close collaboration with manufacturing teams. Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify innovation opportunities. Provide technical support to customers, Sales, Product Management, and plant teams through testing, engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and verification. Apply engineering best practices to sustain existing products and meet customer cost targets. Participate in EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments; assist in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions. Support the implementation of EHS programs and help achieve organizational EHS goals. Promote TE EHS values, standards, and behaviors through technical knowledge and influence.This role combines hands-on technical work with cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation, maintain product quality, and ensure safety compliance within a dynamic and customer-focused environment.
What your background should look like: Requires high school diploma. Completion of an AA degree or equivalent is preferred. Experienced in Microsoft Office applications. Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to communicate effectively and accurately across multi-cultural groups Should be Self-Motivated, Adaptive, Passionate about results and a Good Team Player. Demonstrated history of working in a fast-paced/changing environment with ability to work to tight deadlines. Adaptability to changing priorities, strategies, and business conditions. COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $69,800 – $104,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
