About the Role

 

Our Perth Repair Centre based in Welshpool, Perth; provides critical rebuild and component services to our many WA Mine sites.

 

The centre composes of a large workshop/manufacturing floor – boasting highly qualified trades/technicians who are providing critical mechanical and electrical works to our trucks, graders, loaders and other critical earth moving machinery.

 

We are currently on the search to fill a few rare, exciting vacancies requiring highly safety conscious candidates to perform the roles of Service Persons.  We are offering a 4 on 3 off – 6am till 6pm – DAY ONLY ROSTER, where you will have the opportunity to drive to work and be home every night.  This is a highly attractive component of the role being a local Perth location.

 

Application, attitude, and a hands-on approach will get you everywhere in this role.  Candidates who demonstrate transferable hands-on skills in a similar environment or industry (warehouse/workshop) will transfer well.

Demonstrated suitability to the role through transferrable skills and attributes Strong safety ethics Excellent team players with a positive attitude A willingness to learn and further develop. Willing to obtain a forklift licence if one is not already held, with the willingness to operate

About You

 

Transferrable experience with a “hands on” “can do attitude” Microsoft Office computer literacy Drivers Licence (essential) Forklift Licence, EWP, Rigging and Dogging is desired however must be willing to obtain A high commitment to safety is a must An interest in problem solving, fixing things and working with your hands Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure Effective listening and strong interpersonal skills A strong desire to learn and develop a range of new skills
